Oak class is home to 34 children. We are unique, creative, hard working and inquisative. Using our learning powers all the time, helps us succeed. We like to have fun and be creative within our learning. Most importantly 'Kind people are our kind of people!'.

To find out what we ar learning this term, visit the 'Curriulum' section of the school website.

Things to remember:

  • P.E. will be on Mondays and Fridays, children must come to school in their PE kit.
  • Children need to bring their reading book and reading record into school everyday. Reading diaries are checked on Thursday to see if your child has done their strive for 5.
  • Please ensure that your child is wearing the correct school uniform. Your child’s shoes should be a black school shoe/black trainer (no coloured trainers or coloured shoes). Jewellery is not allowed (except stud earrings) and girls should not come to school with nail varnish on.
  • Please ensure that your child's uniform is labelled so it is easier to locate if something goes missing.
  • Please ensure that your child has a water bottle in school everyday.

Homework

Children have many opportunities to practice and expand their learning at home.  Each week children will be expected to complete:

  • Practise their times tables up to and including their 12’s
  • Daily Reading
  • Times Table Rockstars will help with any homework related to maths and also prepare your child for the statutory multiplication test at the end of Year 4. https://play.ttrockstars.com/auth/school/student/31885

We have an exciting and busy term ahead! We are learning about Local History where we will be learning about listed buildings in Malpas and specifically focusing on St Oswalds Church, Volcanoes and Earthquakes in Geography and Islam in RE.

We have recently been on a residential to Robinwood where we did lots of fun activities such as climbing, canoeing, rock climbing, caving, zip wire, piranha pool, a giant swing and more!

We have been working hard on our times tables in preparation for our recent Statutory Multiplication Check and we have all achieved amazing scores - we are so proud of ourselves!
