School Council
Welcome To Malpas Alport School Council
We have a very enthusiastic school council consisting of a pupil from every class (Y1-6) We aim to meet at least every half term.

School Council Report: Autumn term 2022
Last term the school council actioned the following:
-Organised the McMillian coffee morning and helped serve in the hall-raised £298.67
-Helped to interview for admin post including deciding on questions and providing feedback
-Ensured each class has a suggestion box
-Kindness week-launched Kindness Week (during anti-bullying week) and sent suggestions for activities to each class
-Kindness books marks were given out by school council to pupils who were noticed being kind.

Actions for Spring:
The school council have decided the following:
-We need to have meeting to look at class suggestions from last half term
-Review the findings from the pupil questionnaires
-Consider ways to promote good/excellent attendance inlcuding looking at ideas for a whole school/class displays to promote good attendance.
-Plan how the school are going participate in the village coronation celebrations in May
Agreed focus for Spring term:
Spring 1: wellbeing and pupil safety/break times
Spring 2: supporting community events(King's Coronation celebrations in the village)

-Created the pupil wellbeing and safety questionnaire to distribute across the school (Y1-6)
(Y1-6 completed the questionnaires)-Mrs Williams collated and shared findings
-Fundraising for Comic relief- as a school we raised just over £300
-Reviewed suggestion boxes before Easter
-Governor presentation (see powerpoint presentation)
