Welcome to Malpas Alport Endowed Primary School

Welcome to Malpas Alport Endowed Primary school- a family centred school in the heart of the beautiful village of Malpas. Malpas sits within the county of Cheshire West and Chester and is close neighbours to Shropshire and Wales. We are fortunate to build links with many local communities and welcome children to our school from a wide area. We enjoy close links with our feeder high school, Bishop Heber, which is within walking distance along Chester Road. We currently have spaces for children aged 2-11 years and look forward to welcoming you on a visit to meet our dedicated staff and wonderful children.

Creativity at the heart of learning means that children learn through hands-on, real life experiences and communicate their learning in a variety of ways. We prioritise the expressive arts, giving a variety of opportunities for music appreciation, learning instruments and band play (Rock Steady), alongside an abundant offer of art and design, drama and dance.

We place the happiness and wellbeing of each individual learner at the forefront of our mission, as happy children learn effectively and we work closely with our families to ensure ambitious outcomes academically, socially and emotionally for every single pupil. A crucial part of our curriculum teaches the key stems of long-term happiness, characteristics of learning and strong mental health through the delivery of My Happy Mind, Relationships Education and Building Learning Powers. We place the safeguarding of all children and families central to all our policies and practices. Our school day is from 8.30am to 3.15pm.

I look forward to meeting you soon,

Mrs Nic Wetton
